A
reflection on the Gospel for Most
Holy Trinity
|
|
The other day I was
surprised by a little girls
comment. She said, her mother, a
professional wanted her to reach
even greater heights than she
had. Usually we dont want
anyone to surpass us, but when it
comes to our children, we are
willing to do just about
anything. We make all kinds of
sacrifices so our children can
get ahead. We want them to have a
better life than we had; to go
further, no matter what it may
cost or the sacrifices entailed.
On the other hand, sometimes we
feel so close to a person, it
feels like a physical union. We
think the same way, share the
same gestures, enjoy the same
things, and suffer over the same
causes. Through our faith we know
we are made in the image and
likeness of God and that God is
love. Therefore, we can
understand to a certain point the
love God has for his children and
we are surprised to learn that it
is infinitely bigger than our
love, which is already a
lot.

Una
reflexión sobre el
Evangelio del Domingo de La
Santísima
Trinidad
|
|
Me sorprendió el
comentario de una niña el
otro día. Dijo que su
mamá, una profesional,
quería que ella llegase
aún más alto.
Normalmente no nos gusta que
nadie nos supere pero,
tratándose de nuestros
hijos, estaríamos
dispuestos a cualquier cosa.
Hacemos toda clase de
sácrificios para que
salgan adelante. Queremos que
tengan una vida mejor que la que
tuvimos nosotros. Que vayan
más allá, por mucho
que eso nos cueste personalmente
y por muchos sacrificios que nos
imponga. Por otro lado, a veces
nos sentimos tan unidos a una
persona, que se nos hace como que
es una unión
física. Pensamos igual, a
veces tenemos los mismos gestos,
nos gustan las mismas cosas y
sufrimos por las mismas causas.
Como por nuestra fe sabemos que
estamos hechos a imagen y

Prayer
of the Blessed
Trinity
Lord God,
our Father you
are my God. Let
your wisdom
direct me, your
grace keep me,
your love
Rejoice me,
your truth
protect me,
your power
guard me. Jesus
Christ,
Gods Son,
my brother and
my Savior. That
you became man
is my joy. I
want to go your
way; your
suffering be my
victory, your
disgrace my
honor, your
death my life,
your
resurrection my
comfort. Holy
spirit, God,
you are my
comfort,
convert me, for
I am sinful
person. Bring
me back to
life, for I am
dead. Awaken me
for I am
sleeping. Make
me ready for
eternal
life.
Oracion
a la Santisima
Tinidad
Padre
Dios, nuestro
Padre tu eres
my Dios. Deja
que tu
sabiduria me
dirije, que tu
gracia me me
tome, que tu
amor me Reviva,
tu verdad me
proteja, que tu
poder me
guarde.
Jesucrito, Hijo
de Dios, my
hermano mi
Salvador. Que
te conviertas
hombre de
felicidad. Yo
quiero irme por
tu camino; tu
sufrimiento sea
mi Victoria, tu
desgracia mi
honor, tu
muerte mi vida,
tu resurrection
mi comodidad.
Espititu Santo,
Dios tu eres mi
comodidad,
convierte me,
por que yo soy
un pecador.
Devuelveme la
vida, por que
estoy muerto.
Dispiertame por
que estoy
dormiendo.
Preparame para
la vida
eternal.
